The Subsidiaries of GZLI carried out the contract managerial responsibility system
1993
A measure which called One company two systems was carried out. Under this measure, three subsidiaries took on full responsibility for the success of their business and the other subsidiaries were subject to contracted management. . The total import and export of the whole group exceeded $ 400 million.

NATIONAL SECOND-CLASS ENTERPRISE was rewarded by commission for economic restructuring of the State Council.

Broken away from China National light industrial products import and export Corporation in the business field and was under management of the local government from then on.

GUANGZHOU ANIMAL BY-PRODUCTS IMP & EXP CORPORATION was set up by relevant staff crew, who were separated from GZLI, engaging in business of shoes and leather.
1977
China National Light Industrial Products Import and Export Corporation , Guangdong Branch and China National Light Industrial Products Import and Export Corporation , Guangdong Branch, Guangzhou Office were set up. The total import and export olume reached $ 100 million for the first time.
1972
Two companies were separated from GZLI, i.e. former GUANGDONG ANIMAL BY-PRODUCTS IMP & EXP CORPORATION and former GUANGDONG ARTS & CRAFTS IMP & EXP CORPORATION.

Former GUANGDONG TEXTILEL IMP & EXP CORPORATION was separated.
1966
CHINA LIGHT INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS IMP & EXP CORPORATION GUANGDONG BRANCH was merged by four companies, i.e. GUANGDONG LIGHT INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS I & E CORPORATION, GUANGDONG TEXTILEL IMP & EXP CORPORATION, GUANGDONG ANIMAL BY-PRODUCTS IMP & EXP CORPORATION and GUANGDONG ARTS & CRAFTS IMP & EXP CORPORATION.
1966
Name changed to CHINA LIGHT INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS IMP & EXP CORPORATION GUANGDONG BRANCH and GUANGZHOU BRANCH, which was one body with two brands. It was in charge of purchasing and exporting the industrial products of 8 provinces, i.e. Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Henan, Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou. The import and export volume exceeded $ 16 billion.
1956
The state-owned Guangzhou Sundry Goods Export Corporation, the joint state-private owned South China Enterprise and joint state-private owned Guangzhou Light Industrial Products Export Corporation merged into the new Guangzhou Sundry Goods Export Corporation. The export amounted to $ 1.06 million.
